Featured Wines:

Mumm Napa Brut Prestige – Napa Valley, California; $19.99

Nothing says celebration quite like bubbles! Lets kick things off with some crisp and refreshing sparkling. The Brut Prestige is a blend of 45% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir and then a little bit of Pinot Gris and Pinot Meunier. All the grapes for this are hand harvested and selected from up to 50 different growing locations throughout Napa every year. The final wine is an extremely balanced style. Just enough oak to add a bit of vanilla and spice, but still vibrant and fresh with lots of citrus, red apple, and stone fruit flavors. The perfect bubbles for any occasion! - $1.50 Sample

The Federalist Wines

We are featuring two wine closeouts from The Federalist this week. The winery partnered with Hamilton the Musical around the country to feature some of their themed wines at the shows. Now that Hamilton is no longer in town we were able to get an amazing deal on the remaining inventory of these bottles. It is the exact same product we carry for $16.99 just a special edition bottle for the play.

2017 The Federalist Chardonnay – Mendocino, California; $6.99 Was $16.99 Save $10!

This is that classic oaky-buttery style. Aged in a combination of primarily American and Hungarian oak with a small percentage of French. The European oak adds a little more spice while the American oak brings more sweet vanilla flavors. Pushed through malolactic fermentation (converts malic acid to lactic acid) to develop more of that round buttery quality. Notes of pears, golden apples and lemon curd. - $0.50 Sample

2015 The Federalist Cabernet Sauvignon – Lodi, California; $6.99 Was $16.99 Save $10!

Well this one has always been good and to get it on deal is ridiculous. Do not delay on this one though because we WILL sell out at this price on the tasting. We received much more Chardonnay than Cabernet. This shows that hot climate of Lodi with very ripe jammy fruit. The 15 months in oak rounds it out with vanilla, caramel and cinnamon notes. - $0.50 Sample

2016 Bear Flag “Eureka!” Red Blend – California; $24.99

The Bear Flag label speaks to the Bear Flag revolt in 1846 when American settlers fought for independence from Mexico to form the California Republic. The newly established Republic and Bear Flag was absorbed into the United States and replaced with the American flag only 25 days later. The Bear Flag lives on after becoming the state flag of California in 1911.

This is Batch No. 1… This is a brand new California blend from vineyards in Dry Creek Valley, Napa, Lake County and Eastern San Joaquin County. This is a typical old school California field blend mainly made of Zinfandel, but with small amounts of nine other grape varietals. This wine delivers an abundance of bold red fruit character. Notes of black raspberry, red cherry jam and dried fruit combine with delicate touches of clove, cedar and cocoa. - $2.50 Sample
