Michael Pozzan Wine Tasting

Michael Pozzan Winery produces multiple tiers of wine all named after different family members. Our best selling has always been the Dante wines, named after Michael's son. Michael grew up spending the summers at his grandparents vineyard, 35 acres of Zinfandel planted in 1948. He released his first vintage in 1991 of only 200 cases, dwarfed by their current production of over 100,000 cases. The winery has now celebrated over 25 years of production and his sons Dante and Matthew have joined the winemaking team to truly make it a family affair.

Grab a flight of four of their wines for $5!

Featured Wines:

2016 Annabella Napa Valley Chardonnay; $14.99

The Annabella series is named after Michael's grandmother. They represent a more affordable option from high quality grape selections coming from Napa and Sonoma. This is a very nicely balanced Chardonnay. Aged 10 months in mainly neutral French oak with a partial secondary Malolatic fermentation to just add a little touch of buttery-ness. The wine has ripe aromas of red pears and mandarin oranges with a little vanilla from the oak. Very soft on the palate with bright acidity.

**Grab a bottle if you enjoy it! Unfortunately it will be going to $17.99 in June** - $1.25 Sample

2016 Giapoza Pinot Noir; $15.99

Giapoza celebrates the family's newest member, Michael's granddaughter, Gianna Pozzan. This is the next step up for them from the customer favorite Dante Pinot Noir. The fruit in this one is 25% Russian River Valley bringing some great complexity and acidity blended with 75% North Coast which have a much brighter, ripe and juicy fruit forward character. After 10 months in French oak the wine just shines. You get floral notes of rose petals, a little tart cranberry, orange peel and figs. On the palate the fruit is like strawberry jam with some milk chocolate and spice. - $1.25 Sample

2016 Pozzan Oakville Zinfandel ; $19.99

The Pozzan Gold Series represents some of the best they have to offer. They are very small production wines using small lots of super premium fruit. These grapes come from Oakville in the heart of Napa Valley, typically dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged almost two years in 25% French/75% American oak. Bright ripe raspberry, boysenberry and candied cherries framed by some sweet French oak – vanilla, cinnamon and clove. - $1.25 Sample

2016 Annabella Red Blend; $15.99

This blend screams California… It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel and Tempranillo coming from all over California. Something nice and full-bodied to finish on. Aromas of ripe raspberries, peaches, and root beer. Soft silky tannins on the palate with flavors of juicy raspberries and espresso and a creamy vanilla finish. - $1.25 Sample
