Jackie O's Mixed Fermentation Bottle Sampling

First want to say, come early for this one. Our buddy Luke from Jackie O's is going to be opening some of their limited mixed fermentation bottles to sample. This free sampling will be limited quantities, with these limited bottles we WILL run out of samples.

Jackie O's I think leads the way as one of the best breweries in Ohio. They are only available for retail in Ohio and consistently are producing beers that are sought after all over the country. Many of those desired bottles come out of their Mixed Fermentation or Barrel Aged Series and we are sampling a few of those this week.

Featured Brews:

Electro Lyte - A collaboration with American Solera. Nearly a mashup of a gose and pilsner. A traditional lager that was brewed with grapefruit and blood orange. The gose influence comes from the touch of added salt and a minor amount of brettanomyces and lactobacillus added at bottling. The bottle conditioning has given this beer a touch of tartness. 5.9%ABV

Orange Crates - A collaboration with The Answer brewing out of Richmond, Virginia. It is a dry hopped Belgian Blonde that was conditioned on Brettanomyces Claussenii for 2 months. The extended bottle conditioning has created a very balanced and traditional style. 8.1%ABV

Primary - Basically a mixed culture saison. A bit of that farmhouse saison style with a bit of tart acidity. Aged in wine barrels for a full year to add just a bit of fruit forward character. 5.5%ABV
